Competitions

Sharon Simmons participated in her first fitness competition in 2006 at the age of 50! The Judges asked the competitors to describe “what does fitness mean to you?” – Sharon realized fitness is much more than just competing; it is about inspiring others and helping them achieve their fitness goals and dreams. It is about believing in yourself -- setting goals with pride, passion, and commitment -- striving for excellence. It was then that she told the world with passion “FITNESS IS FOR ANY AGE” and Age is Simply a State of Mind. Sharon has competed in over a dozen competitions winning five 1st Place titles.

  • Ms. Fitness USA – 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 (Las Vegas and Reno filmed for television)

  • Fitness America Pageant 2006 (Ft. Worth) - 2nd in Fitness and 2nd in Bikini

  • Universe of Fitness 2006 (California) -- 2007 Calendar -- Ms. July

  • 11th Legacy International 2007 (Las Vegas) - 1st Master’s Fitness and 4th Fitness Model Open

  • NPC Heart of Texas (2007) Competed in five different events -- 1st Master’s Fitness and 3rd Fitness Open

  • Legacy Fitness/Lone Star State Regional -- 2nd in Fitness and 2nd in Fitness Model

  • 12th Legacy International 2008 (Colorado Springs, CO) -- Defended the Title -- Won 1st Master’s Fitness and 2nd Fitness Model Open
